Posted 24/02/2007 05:10:32 PM | | I believe we all had a wonderful Quiz last night & I thank all 30 of you that turned up to share a drink & a chat with fellow friends.
Last night’s Quiz was exceptionally difficult but I am sure that you all know who is William Jefferson Blyth III is now. In the future I shall aim to have less taxing questions for you all to enjoy. Congratulations go the Yellow Team that consisted of Kirsty Dambrosio & Abilio, Thomas & Fiorella Christensen, Alan La Rue, Thomas La Rue & Juan Isusi who won with 21 points.
A big thank you goes to Christine Weston who made the sandwiches, my dear wife Lucy, who organised the food & house for the evening’s event & our good friends Elsa & Maygo Pancorvo who always help us out at these functions.
The next Quiz Night will be held on the 23rd March. Tony & Anita Morton-Taylor have kindly offered to host the March Quiz at their home. So a great big thank you from all of us. Please make sure that you reserve your seat by confirming your attendance back to me ASAP.
The clear winner of the “Fastest Finger on the Buzzer” award for getting the question to the “who became the 204th Olympic Nations” (Montenegro) was Linda Hewitt. As Linda was unable to attend last night she kindly past the award to the second fastest person who answered the question correctly, and that was Frank Nagle. Congratulations to the both of them.
Again I would like to stress that I am always open to suggestions or comments on how to improve these evenings’ events. I would like to ask anyone who can help us out with hosting a future Quiz Night to please contact me.
