Last night’s Quiz was a real disappointment as out of the 39 confirmed 19 friends turned up!

Lucy & I go to a lot of trouble & expense to host the St. George’s evenings & it is a real shame that people cannot tell us in advance that they are unable to attend. Based on the confirmed numbers we order the food the day before the event. As you can expect (& see from the photos) there was a lot of food left over – totally wasted & a crying shame in a country that many thousands are struggling to feed themselves. We should all be a more responsible for our actions.

I would like to thanks those of you who did turn up & made the evening very enjoyable.

Under the present circumstance the next St. George’s is under review.
